At Aloe Health, we offer Tung-style Acupuncture as part of our Acupuncture practice. Tung-style Acupuncture traditionally uses a relatively small number of Acupuncture points, with many points selected away from the area where symptoms are experienced. Point selection may incorporate the principle of mirroring, in which points on one side of the body are selected in relation to an area or symptom on the opposite side.
Treatment is individualized based on the patient’s health concerns, presentation, and treatment goals.

Fire Cupping is a traditional cupping technique that uses small glass cups and controlled suction on selected areas of the skin. During treatment, heat is used to create negative pressure inside the cup. As the air cools, the resulting suction gently lifts the skin and underlying tissues.
Cups are typically left in place for several minutes. Temporary redness, discoloration, or circular marks may occur following treatment and generally fade over time. Your practitioner will adjust the treatment according to your health history, areas being treated, and individual comfort.
Fire Cupping may be offered as part of a patient’s individualized care plan for muscular tension, physical discomfort, or relaxation.
Fire Cupping may be provided alongside Acupuncture when appropriate. If you prefer to receive cupping without Acupuncture needling, please let your practitioner know before treatment.

Gua Sha is a traditional technique that uses a smooth-edged tool applied to the skin with controlled strokes. Treatment is individualized according to the area being treated, the patient’s health history, comfort, and treatment goals. Temporary redness or discoloration may occur following treatment.
Tui Na Massage and Gua Sha may be incorporated into an individualized care plan for muscular tension, physical discomfort, relaxation, and general wellness. Facial Gua Sha may also be offered as part of a facial treatment.

Massage techniques are used to work with facial muscles and soft tissues and may promote relaxation and comfort. Intraoral buccal massage involves gentle massage of the inside of the cheeks when appropriate and with the patient’s consent.
Treatment is individualized according to the patient’s needs, comfort, health history and goals. Because this treatment may involve contact inside the mouth, informed consent is obtained before treatment.

They may remain in place for several days, allowing patients to gently stimulate the selected points as directed by their practitioner.
Ear Seeds may be incorporated into an individualized care plan based on the patient’s health concerns and treatment goals. They can be an option for patients who prefer an approach that does not involve Acupuncture needles.
Your practitioner will provide instructions on how to care for the ear seeds and when to remove them.
